Taekwondo Europe G4 European TKD Championships, was successfully completed

.  363 registered athletes participated, coming from 44 different countries, plus refugee athletes, who were supported by WTE.

In fact, it was kind of a test event for the upcoming, in about a month’s time, European Qualification Tournament for Tokyo 2021. EQT will also take place in this same venue in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 7 to 8 of May plus on the 9th of May for the Paralympics.

Therefore it was highly significant  that this European Championship was carried out smoothly and, above all,  securely, thanks to the strict health protocol in the format of a bio-secure bubble that was applied, and the constant efforts of  both Taekwondo Bulgaria, as organizer, and World Taekwondo Europe, as promoter, at all levels and aspects of the event.

As TKD family tries to regain its pace and return to normal,  Sofia G4 was a very encouraging restart under the best conditions in the midst of this globally difficult situation.
